Sports Physicals

A sports physical is a check-up that assesses a student's health and fitness as it relates to a sport. The provider reviews your child's medical and family history and looks for any condition or injury that could make it unsafe to play. If something needs a closer look, the provider will tell you what follow-up is recommended.

School and Camp Physicals

What a Sports or School Physical Includes

A sports or school physical typically includes:

• Medical and family history review
• Height, weight and vital signs, including blood pressure
• Vision screening
• Heart and lung exam
• Check of joints, flexibility and posture

What to Bring

• The physical form from your school, league or camp, with the parent section filled in
• Your insurance card, if you plan to use insurance
• A list of your child's medications and allergies
• Glasses or contact lenses, for the vision screening

TB Testing

A TB skin test is $50. A small amount of fluid called tuberculin is injected under the skin of the lower arm, and you return within 48 to 72 hours so a trained health care worker can check the arm for a reaction. Read TB testing at urgent care.
